Join us on November 15, 2025 for the 2nd Annual Run Like Water 5K
The inaugural H2GO Run Like Water 5K was a great day thanks to our 17 amazing sponsors, 165 runners, and countless volunteers! This event wouldn't be possible without the support from Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources for their help and providing access to F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center for the route.
The second annual H2Go Run Like Water 5K is set for November 15, 2025! Sponsor and runner registration is now open.
Proceeds from the H2GO 5k go to The Water Tower Institute (501c3) for innovative water programming, such as STEM workshops for high school students to explore water careers and workforce training for individuals who would like to support their communities as water or wastewater operators.
If you have any questions, please contact kristan@theh2otower.org.

The Run Like Water 5K is the only 5k event where runners will be able to gain an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the world renowned F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center (WRC) on your route.
Route
The race will begin and conclude on The Water Tower Global Innovation Center's campus. Opened in 2022, The Water Tower Innovation Center is a first-of-its-kind innovation hub for research, technology, and training to support innovative solutions for the water industry.
The F. Wayne Hill WRC is an award-winning advanced wastewater treatment facility located next door to The Water Tower. The water it cleans and returns to the environment is some of the highest quality effluent (cleaned wastewater) in the United States. The F. Wayne Hill WRC is a worldwide model for wastewater treatment, providing approximately 100 tours a year for visitors from around the world. Two other parts of the treatment process—nutrient recovery and energy recovery—make the F. Wayne Hill WRC an innovative, forward-looking community asset that will pay dividends to Gwinnett County for generations to come. During the H2Go Run Like Water 5k, you'll be able to see wastewater treatment processes in action on your route through the WRC as you race to the finish line!
