GWINNETT COUNTY, Georgia, November 8, 2022 – The Water Tower Innovation Center welcomes Kamstrup as a Sustaining Partner. Kamstrup designs and delivers cutting-edge technology for intelligent water metering solutions to ensure clean water and energy globally.

As a Sustaining Partner, Kamstrup will work with The Water Tower to demonstrate smart metering technology and equipment for utilities to help gain more visibility into their water system through data analytics to help them address issues like non-revenue water loss. Kamstrup’s smart metering solutions provide critical consumption data and analytics used to make informed decisions on budget planning and proactive repairs on mains and pipes in the distribution network.

“We are pleased to have Kamstrup partner with us to share their global expertise and demonstrate the value of their innovative technology for utilities,” said Melissa Meeker, CEO of The Water Tower. “Kamstrup’s commitment to advancing the water industry fits perfectly with our mission, and we look forward to what our collaboration will bring.”

Founded in Denmark in 1946, Kamstrup now has employees in more than 20 countries across the world. In 1991, the company introduced ultrasonic measuring technology. In 2002, Kamstrup integrated wireless communications in its meters. Three years later, the company launched the first generation of smart grid solutions.

“We’re excited to be a Sustaining Partner of The Water Tower. Their mission aligns with our commitment to being leaders in more responsible and sustainable management of water, said Bruce Bharat, Country Manager & Vice President – US & Canada. “Our smart metering solutions empower utilities and societies to reduce water loss and increase efficiency by providing them with the insight to act and the data to target their efforts.”

The Water Tower campus opened in April 2022 and serve as a hub for water utilities, researchers, companies, and ground-breaking advancements to solve critical water and environmental challenges. The campus includes a three-story Innovation Center facility with office and collaboration spaces, classroom and meeting spaces, conference space, as well as experimental, analytical, and microbiology laboratories. A conveyance network brings process streams from F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center to the facility to support bench-scale, full-scale, and pilot studies.
